I spent all of my childhood moving from one place to another as my father was stationed across the country, which taught me to be adaptable to change and to take what life gives you. Going to an innumerable number of schools, I had experiences with fantastic teachers and not so fantastic ones, but it was the fantastic ones that left their mark. It is due to them that I chose to become a teacher and I could never be more grateful.

 

Throughout my studying and education, I have been taught so much, not only about teaching but also about life. I have learned so much through these years, but the most important thing is that learning does not stop once you leave the classroom.   I know that I can and will learn just as much from my students as they learn from me, but I also feel challenged to continue my formal education so that I can continue to be the best teacher for them. Being a teacher is not just about teaching, but also the importance to always be a student and to never stop learning.

When I am not taking the time to further myself, I take time to be with my boys. They are the light of my life and the biggest reason that I went back to school. During free moments and when the inspiration strikes, I enjoy writing novels and sometimes poems.
